FHWA Partnership Program
Federal leadership collaborates with their state counterparts to meet objectives for the Federal Highway Administration’s Federal Highway Partnership Program, yet neither group has authority over the other. How do you meet objectives when you have to influence others to achieve your goals?
TDP created a leadership program focused on helping senior leaders develop collaborative skills. The program used best practices to sharpen learner communication skills, conflict resolution, and real world problem-solving abilities, all within the safe confines of a learning environment. TDP designed and conducted a climate assessment with both Federal and state leaders and a self-evaluation tool for pre- and post-assessment. Participants left with a plan of action and coaching support provided by TDP.
A series of workshops will be co-facilitated with Federal Highway Administration senior leaders over the next five years. Their partnership plans will be implemented, improving the impact of federal programs for the states.
